Lunes

I’m in a fantastic mood! I have been here for 20 days and finally Elba has finally made the dish she made us for dinner the second night I was here! As soon as I saw the curry potatoes I knew life was going to be good. Then she brought out what I can best describe as steak kabobs that were cooked in godlike spices. The salad was fresh tomatoes mixed in with pomegranates, I was hesitant about the combination initially, but it’s won me over with its sweet yet vinegary charm. I feel a little silly that this is my favorite dish when I know she spends so much more time on others, but I can’t help it! I think my time in Spain is turning me into a foodie, I can feel my taste buds becoming more elitist and I’m getting progressively more scared of when I go back to my life in the states of box noodles and jar marinara. I’ll worry about that then, for now I will bask in the happiness that Elba’s Top Chef quality cooking brings me.

Tonight we went back to the Irish pub, Hannigans,  for TRIVIA MONDAY! Unfortunately we got there too late to buy into the trivia game, but it was fun sitting around for 3 hours drinking and talking with all of the new people in the program. I’m so glad more people are arriving, all of us who have been here for 3 weeks are comfortable with each other and we’re so excited to expand and meet everyone else!

Our program has a tapas night Wednesday when we’ll finally be able to meet the entire group, so I’m sure it will be a great time (even though I wont be home in time for dinner and will most likely miss another amazing meal........)

Also Taylor and I did manage to get some studying in today during our 2 hours spent at Spain’s Version of Dunkin Donuts called “Loops”. So preparing for our test has not been a complete flop.

****Finally, I absolutely love that some of you have been messaging me and emailing me about what you like about reading my blog. It feels great to know I haven't been writing to a wall! I especially appreciate when you ask me questions about things I forgot to include in here, I do my best to not go too in depth and make it a boring read, but its good to know what everyone is interested in :)

MIL GRACIAS.
