Sick in Spain :(

I woke up this morning feeling a little sick, but I didn’t think much of it because I’ve been adjusting to the food, the time, the lifestyle etc. I went out with my friends for breakfast (donuts) and shopping! I bought a beautiful tapestry for myself from a store a 3-minute walk from my house. It was incredibly hard for me to choose which tapestry I wanted! I love how they look, and honestly I know I’ll end up going to back to buy another one or two to decorate my room in Winona this summer J After FINALLY deciding on a tapestry, I was still feeling a little sick so I came home to eat lunch.

My host dad was super proud of me for eating both the fish and octopus. He said usually the american host students they have avoid it. I'm glad I tried it, every time I try something outside of my comfort zone i know it makes it easier for whatever will be challenging me next!

My host dad made lunch for the two of us while my host mom was out!

My sick feelings only got worse when I saw what we were having. I absolutely love seafood and would eat it all day if I could, but feeling a little queasy and seeing a fish head and eyes and tail and then watching my host dad show me how to take the spine out of the back of the fish and what parts to eat around the head. I knew I was a goner. I pushed through and ate the fish, and it was delicious! I hope we can have it again when I'm feeling a little better. Unfortunately the different types of fish and octopus wasn’t comparable to the crackers and soup I needed. So I’m currently laying in bed feeling terrible. On the bright side I am able to watch Netflix by going through a few different things on Google Chrome (Thanks for showing me Patrick!). I’m hoping if I just lay low and watch Cupcake Wars until dinner at 9pm I’ll be able to out with my friends for tapas and drinks. What a waste of a Saturday if I had to stay in bed!
